Cependant, on ne sait pas comment les conditions locales (structure de peuplement, micro-climat, p\u00e9dologie, topographie, etc.) influencent ce d\u00e9clin des arbres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une \u00e9tude fran\u00e7aise s\u2019est pench\u00e9e sur cette question en pr\u00e9disant par mod\u00e9lisation le d\u00e9p\u00e9rissement des h\u00eatraies selon les conditions environnementales. Cette \u00e9tude montre que ce sont en effet les facteurs climatiques qui expliquent la majeure partie du d\u00e9p\u00e9rissement des peuplements, et en particulier la variabilit\u00e9 d\u2019une ann\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019autre de la temp\u00e9rature maximale et du d\u00e9ficit hydrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats confirment donc la grande sensibilit\u00e9 du h\u00eatre aux temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es et \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse. Cependant, d\u2019autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments, comme les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du sol, notamment la capacit\u00e9 hydrique disponible, la topographie mais aussi des param\u00e8tres dendrom\u00e9triques (structure et composition des peuplements) influencent le risque de d\u00e9p\u00e9rissement du h\u00eatre. Par exemple, l\u2019\u00e9tude montre que la sensibilit\u00e9 du h\u00eatre \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse est plus faible en m\u00e9lange que dans les peuplements monosp\u00e9cifiques. En effet, le m\u00e9lange peut avoir un effet favorable sur la sant\u00e9 du h\u00eatre, en particulier dans la zone influenc\u00e9e par un climat m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en.
